About the MQG
The Modern Quilt Guild is made up of over 14,000 members in more than 200 guilds in 39 countries around the world. The Modern Quilt Guild seeks to foster a vibrant and inclusive organization built on encouragement and mutual respect, where all feel welcome. We support the participation of all who are interested in the growth and development of modern quilting and we value the diversity arising from differences that make us who we are.
Memphis Area MQG
Since 2013, our members have come together to learn and share our love of quilting. Officers are volunteers from our MAMQG community.
Our mission is to support and encourage the growth and development of modern quilting through art, education, and community. The Memphis Area Modern Quilt Guild fulfills its mission through charitable activities, member education, monthly member meetings, and volunteer opportunities.
Meetings
The Memphis Area Modern Quilt Guild meets the 2nd Sunday of most months at 2 p.m. at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library 3030 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38111
Education
MAMQG is committed to broadening member knowledge through regular education programs, workshops, lectures, and product demonstrations. These programs are available to our membership and the broader quilting community. We gladly offer scholarship seats at our paid workshops to local students to encourage young quilters.
